Netcrook is not a press outlet.
Here you won’t find football news, gossip, or tabloid stories: they do not belong to us, they do not interest us, they do not serve us. What matters to us is the evolution of discrete mathematics, the inventors who create new tools, and those who push them beyond the limits for which they were designed.
Since the invention of the lock, there has always been someone able to open it without the key: the mechanic who built it, the locksmith who frees a blocked safe, the engineer who discovers its weak points, and the hacker who breaks it. It has always been this way: whenever a new security system is born, there is someone who studies it, tests it, reinvents it. First came iron locks, then electric circuits, and today digital networks.
Here you won’t find stories of good or evil. We leave such definitions to jurisprudence, modern politics, and the principles of natural law or the oldest divine traditions, depending on the times and cultures. It is not for us to judge how hacking techniques are used. We care to understand how they work, not to judge how they are used.
Netcrook – Hacking Kronicles: the endless book of hacking. Made of stories, but also of revolutionary inventions, investigations, technologies, cases, people, and organizations. An infinite book… constantly updated.
