The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) refers to a connected ecosystem of medical devices and applications that communicate with healthcare IT systems via online networks. These devices - such as wearable fitness trackers, remote patient monitoring tools, and smart infusion pumps - collect, transmit, and sometimes analyze patient health data in real time. IoMT enables improved patient care, remote diagnostics, and more efficient healthcare workflows. However, the increased connectivity also introduces new cybersecurity challenges, as sensitive health data becomes a target for cyberattacks. Securing IoMT devices and networks is critical to protect patient privacy and ensure the reliability of medical services.
