Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) is a non-invasive brain scanning technique that measures and maps brain activity by detecting changes in blood flow. When a specific area of the brain is more active, it consumes more oxygen, leading to increased blood flow to that region. fMRI uses this principle to generate detailed images showing which parts of the brain are involved in particular mental processes. In cybersecurity, fMRI has been explored for applications such as lie detection, studying cognitive responses to security threats, and understanding user behavior. However, ethical and privacy concerns limit its widespread use in this field.
